Shovel pass?
Can someone explain to me what shovel pass does and the point of it? when I use it it just throws the quaffle to the side to no-one... Is there a way to pass backwards without having to rotate yourself around?

In my experience the way it works best is when you're playing in multiplayer, you're racing towards the goal posts and suddenly a notification lights up on either side of you, indicating a teammate is asking for a pass. Normally you'd have to turn to face them, which is not ideal as it allows members of the opposite team to catch up to you, increasing the chance for a steal. With the shovel pass you can still throw the ball to your teammate without changing speed or direction.

I'm not sure either. All I know is that the passing mechanics leave a lot to be desired. There's no reason for it either since the game really doesn't have many controls.

Most likely is the kind of pass that shine in multiplayer if you can toss it to an ally behind you when you're about to get hit.

It's a way to throw the ball if you're about to get hit or intercepted. It's basically a blind throw in hope that a team member you can't see catches it.

If you have played the tutorial you will get it explained.. Its very practical to use, you can use it to throw to someone next to you or slightly behind you (look at the blue arrows on the screen) aim for it with your left stick and then press the shovel pass. It will do a pass to that player without the need of a lock on.. (All you need is the blue arrow to be there)

the tutorial is mandatory as you start the game problem was I forgot what the tutorial said as lot of information given to you about different roles at once but thanks for the explanation of aiming with the left analogue stick
