This is a completely different genre of game to Hogwarts Legacy.

It has characters from Harry Potters era so it couldn't be Hogwarts Legacy
It's got PvP Quidditch teams - Hogwarts Legacy is an RPG
It's got a career mode - wouldn't fit the narrative of Hogwarts Legacy

While I agree it would have been awesome to have Quidditch in Hogwarts Legacy, this game isn't DLC repackaged as a game, it's something completely separate and different.

I think that people at times just complain just for the sake of doing it. There is no way the developers of Hogwarts Legacy can create a Quidditch mode that is fun, great and have everything it needs to be what we expect without sacrificing other perhaps more important content for the game that it needs much more in my opinion.

The days are gone where they can just put a Quidditch mode and let us fly after some rings just like in the old HP games, and let's face it people would whine if they did this way and/or if they find out just how much content that was left out in order to make us have a Quidditch game mode in a RPG open world game.

Good solid game, however very greedy with micro transactions.
You pay for character and then skins on top. Not sure the prices as it was not in there, but if im right it was roughly 2k credits for a character.
Not sure if its free tho, or paid However its a solid game.
Should of been a hogwarts leg dlc but then im happy its a standalone so we can play lots and hope it gets updates regularly

I disagree.

I played the beta for this, and I highly doubt HL would've had anything nearly as good as the game that I played. I also initially thought it should have been an HL DLC until I played it and realised how special this game is going to be. It has an entirely different tone from HL, all the way down to the art style. It is a completely separate game from HL, and while HL could have had a quidditch DLC and should probably look toward that at some point, I definitely appreciate that they made this game entirely separate because it works VERY well as its own game and would have been ruined had it been pigeonholed into HL.

I think Avalanche Software probably made a Quidditch mode, then WB saw what this Fortnite version of Quidditch is going to be (no hate, tbh, I play Fortnite) and realised that graphically at least, this game would not match Hogwarts Legacy, and would lead to discontent down the line. There's no way at some point from inception to creation Quidditch wasn't considered for Hogwarts Legacy, and IMO this game probably took it away, so I just hope it's good for that reason.

They are going for a live service pvp esports game. This wouldn't have worked in hogwarts legacy since its an offline single player game.
