There's enough other games in the Contra-like genre that you can skip this one. It's not a terrible game, but it's not good.

+++ 100 % easy Achievements with InGame Cheats (Versus/ Co Op need Controller/ 2nd Player)

++ good Challenge on Hard Modus (if you dont use InGame Cheats

+ Boss Design

+ Easter Egg Dope Fish on Hard

+ 7 Trading Cards

- Online Coop isnt good optimized

Not very fun to play, the game just feels too slow paced. And the button layout on the XBox360 controller is unintuitive. The very first level is full of steam pipes you can't hit directly, you have to jump and shoot, but the timing of the shots has to be exact, they are placed in a way that you can't just jump and shoot, but wait to start falling. That means you spend 5 minutes trying to hit them over and over and wasting time while nothing is happening on the screen. This is just one of the design frustrations.

Game is broken freezes on bootup. Not compatible with a 4K video card more than likely. 100% waste of money since i cant even try it, i tryed may compatibility settings and its either not compatible with the latest windows 10 or its not compatible with 4K at all and i also noticed this is 1 of the only games that doesnt come with a microsoft redistributable pack.

This is a really good one. It plays different than Contra but that's part of the appeal.
The graphics are very good, the controls are responsive, the gameplay is action packed and exactly what you want.
The only donwside I could think of is the music, which are forgettable at best.

This game has been updated numerous time by the developers which shows how much they care about this game and the players. It plays perfectly on Linux with full controller support.

This is is a game that any old school hardcore gamer will appreciate.

8-Bit Commando is pretty straightforwardly an indie Contra clone. All it really has going for it is online play and a "bad CRT TV" filter, though, compared to just playing the original Contra games in whichever way - including the Contra Anniversary Collection found on Steam - you'd choose.

Not a complete waste of time, but you can win in about half an hour, and unless you're really into speedrunning or otherwise perfecting your skill, there's not huge amounts of replay value. Also the laser weapon is awful and I hate it.

Run-and-Gun Contra clone with couple levels with twist to regular action but nothing too memorable. Playing requires certain amount of 8-bit nostalgia. Points for co-op though and I love the visual how screen is made to look like old TV set.
