do products' season matter?
You start the game in winter but sell potatoes that says fall and carrots that are spring
and costumes are asking for things like watermelon that should be summer and rose that says spring
so why do they say a season when people want and buy no matter the season?

The costumers buy all things in all seasons. Its like in reallife. But when you do not have the season for the products they got more expansive to buy from the seller and also more expansive for the costumers. So producing more of them in the season to sell them in the next seasons makes you much more profit. You can hold all the items in the cellar. They will not lose days, so you can stack all seasonal products for the whole year :)
