can you sell bamboo?

on the new east town map you can pick up bamboo everywhere. first day i realized this and took the challenge of harvesting every bamboo i could find. i did so, and bought a stand to put them on to sell. i guess you can't? am i crazy? did i just waste 30 minutes of my life?

The only use I know of for bamboo is to make short bows. You can't sell it.

Bamboo, bones, leather and metal (and ores) can't be sold, just used for weapon making or trashed.
