You can merge? I have to try that. :D
Shelves don't have an effect on customers. The only diffrence is the style and how many it cost you daily.
Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT buy a horse in the early days. It'll get you bankrupt. I only bought it at like end of winter and its not really that useful. You don't have to feed it every day. Only good thing about it is, that you can have it infront of your shop and put the items that only have 1 day left on it and they won't spoil, like you put them in the cellar. It saves time to run to the cellar and back. But I personally don't use the horse to get my stuff from the dock to the store.
With the middle bag you can hold 4 items and with the big one 5.
Yes, they do buy hay balls, seeds im not sure. You buy them from the gardener and plant it at your farm or in the greenhouse.
The cleaning employee doesen't need a broom and the one it has doesen't brake. also you don't have to broom, even if there's more than one dirty spot in your store. The customers won't complain about a dirty shop if you have the cleaning employee.
As far as I know the only way to sell unwanted items is the shredder. You can put them in the fire pot infront of your store aswell, but this won't give you any money back. From the shredder you always get half the price you paid or would get if you sold it in your store.
Light is just for us. Also it doesen't count towards your reputation. Make sure your reputation is as high as possible, this way you get more customers in your store. Also the items from the decoration shop only count once. If you buy multiple things you won't get more reputation out of it. Learned the hard way. ^^'
You could raise the price up to 3 coins more, but this way customers will complain. If they complain, you loose reputation. I did this too, I sold things way to expensive and thought reputation isn't important. But it is. The higher it is and the bigger your shop, the more customers will come in at the same time.
Yes, it does matter, I recently bought the boat and it has a map on it that shows where what fish lives. Maybe google a map? Sometimes the customers complain that you don't have a special type of fish, but you don't need any of it.
I figured that the most items I sell are carrots, salat and cake. Alcohol too, but they buy a ton of carrots and salat. xD I have like 10 crates in my cellar just to be sure I always have them in stock.
Yes. When you hold a box of items in your hand, you can see it as the hotkey "V". I like to use that function, because its often faster to flll up a box on the shelf instead of replacing it.
Yah, that what's I thought too.
No, I didnt. I am at day 10 now, but I didnt buy a horse, I didnt see the need of that.
The hint of bankrupt comes late, because, I would recommend everyone to buy a broom in the very beginning of the game. On my first day, I hadnt a broom (and didnt know where to get one) after (a lot of complainments about dirt) my reputation was on 20 and I had just a few customers the next days, the tutorial told me to buy a broom way too late.
Nice idea to use the horse as a little quick-cellar.
By the way: Do the limit of 40 items at the docks raise one day? As I said, I am at day 10 and I ordered 32/40 items, but I just unlocked 2 of all these order-categories.
This wasnt one of my questions, but thanks, nice to know. :)
At least, one customers complained about not finding any seeds in my shop (dont know anymore which fruit/plant).
That I can buy and plant seeds at the farm, I already know. I just wondered if you can sell seeds in the shop and if fruit tree seends are only plantable in the green house, or not.
Very nice to know, thanks! :)
Yah, I also noticed that. Strange way to get rid of stuff. I also throw things, like fishing rod in it, when its close to break, to get half of the worth back and then buy a new one. :D
Ouh, thats a golden tipp, thank you! What exactly do this reputation points from decorations? I mean, when I still have 100 reputation (what is the maximum, as far as I know), what does the decoration do?
Yes, I also learned it on the hard way. I will take the recommended price. But to be honest, its lame to get this without testing out yourself or something.
Oh yes, I found it out after posting, in a wiki.
My customers complained at day 2 (!) that they dont found champagne and baby shark (what the..?).
Haha, thats strange.
On day 7 or 8 I fished 15 fish and 3 boxes of whiskey. I sold all on next day, what gaves me a really nice boost. In the evening, I had 24k, thats a lot in such early game.
Also, if you buy an item that will increase your reputation, you will only get the effect the next day.
"Yah, I also noticed that. Strange way to get rid of stuff. I also throw things, like fishing rod in it, when its close to break, to get half of the worth back and then buy a new one. :D"
Oh wow thats really smart!
You can push yor reputation to 200 max and get a total capacity of 120 customers, the dev said. But only if you have the full store upgrade. More reputation does give you more customers though, so its kinda important.
They complain sometimes about missing items, but its not a big of a deal when you have enough variety to keep your reputation score high. I don't sell any fish.
Thats still a lot for me, lol. I just made a guide on how much profit you get on what item, because I was curious. Turns out I sell a lot of items that doesen't give me much profit. xD
Glad I could help!
Haha, when my first fishing rod broke (on day 3), I was really upset, because I also wanted to "sell" it before breaking, but I was too greedy, haha.
Oh really? Here in the forum, the dev himself was talking often about "reputation cap of 100".
But nice to know that decoration is useful. In so many similar games, deco has absolutely no effect.
If you want really bring it to the max: Dont sell cheap stuff. The more different items you offer, the lesser items of each kind will be sold, because the amount of customers and the amount of their purchases are limited. When they buy cheap stuff, they block the opportunity to buy expensiv stuff instead.
But I dont like this kind of thinking. I like to offer as many as I can. :)
Oh yes, I really appreciate your help.
Interessant ist, dass die einzige Person, die mir antwortet, ein/e Landsmann/Landsfrau ist.
Everything from the dock should be a full case.
Customers don't care about shelves, I use stone they cost more upfront but have less upkeep.
Some people love the horse, some hate it. I use my horse a lot. The tutorial gives you money when you complete steps. I think it gives enough for a brown horse. I bought the grey horse and put it in it's box. Items in the box don't charge upkeep. So if you have unused shelves or your boat you can put it back into it's box and not pay for it daily.
On the last use of a fish trap it will disappear when you take the fish out. The fish is worth more than shredding the trap.
Trees grow anywhere there's a green that is flat enough. The greenhouse has no effect on them.
Customers don't care about light but there's some that have a decoration value which is important for increasing customer count.
Yep, this was my fault. I confused (bought) lettuce with (farmed) cabbage. Both looking very similar.
Okay, you are the second one who is telling this. I thought this myself too, because, I played similar games (around 10) but only one had this feature.
That expiration dates of items dont continue, when in cellar, bag or horse, I knew and its very practical. But this also counts for upkeep costs? Very cool, but that feels like a kind of cheating, haha.
When I take the last fish and the fish trap shows "0", then its not destroyed by itself. Or do you mean next day AFTER this "0"?
Wow, really? I can plant fruit trees everywhere? Or do I need place them on the field, where I plant my crops? And do these trees give fruit every season or only in their very own seasons?
Which light source has reputation bonus? All I can buy (at the decoration guy) dont have any reputation points.
For trees I put my almonds for baking in the front yard of the house in front of the store. The only trees that have a season are the fall trees (apple, yellow apple, chestnut).
The fire pot and the golden candle give rep from the basic shop. The fire pot isn't bad but the candle is expensive with a decent amount of upkeep. The Christmas Tree and Halloween Pumpkin are also light sources with decoration value.
When I buy and place a fish trap the first time, it says "3" (it must be the number of possible uses). Next day, when I come back to the fish trap, I can take a fish and there is "2".
When I do this 3 times, there is a "0". At this stage, I got 3 fishes on 3 days and I sell the fish trap, it dont dissapeared itself!
So, do you mean I have to let the fish trap one day more in the water to get a 4th fish? And when I take it, THEN the fishtrap dissapear?
Ah, okay, I already saw, that these 3 trees have a season on it, but I wondered why the other dont have. Surely its not intended and will be changed one day.
Yah, the golden candle, very expensive. The fire pot I didnt recognise, haha.
Is it possible to get the christmas tree and the halloween pumpkin without the events (halloween and christmas, obviously)?
Ah, I see, you dont mean the "real" halloween and christmas events, you mean both in the game.
Fishing traps will break when they use their last catch you dont have to pick up and scrap if you are doing this you are missing out on one more Fish
Thank you :)
