How do I get my broom to actually clean?

As the title says, I'm in the tutorial face and I can't get the broom to clean the stains on the floor

It *should* be as simple as pointing it at the mess on the floor and holding the left mouse button down.
If that isn't working though, then I am not sure.

im having the same issue. Im stuck on the cleaning quest where it's telling me to use the broom and clean the store, but i can't find anything to clean.

The "stains" are there when you see some flies flying around. It's of a brownish shade, so can be poorly visible on the brownish floor.

I had the same problem. The stains were not appearing for me, and I assume it's because I only ordered 1 bread to sell so I only had a few customers. I ordered 4 items and the next day when customers came they left a mess.

I always found it funny when a customer enters my immaculate market and dirt it up before complaining that "this market is dirty".
