Just got to spring, My Reputation tanked from 102 down to the 20s on the first day. Looked like all the prices were too high now so I fixed it real quick and now it's impossible to get back up, no ones buying stuff fast enough, but yet it keeps going down whenever I don't have something specific that they want. I cant keep one of every item though because now I don't have enough people to buy and I cant get more customers in everyday when I cant get my reputation up at all, it went from easy to impossible in just one day. how am I supposed to fix this? Also items that give Rep don't actually give any rep.

Reputation items increase your maximum reputation threshold. So your rep limit increases from the base 100. They do not increase your actual reputation.

The first day of any season you should check all your prices because a lot of things will change. The calendar will tell you when events are and those will have some items change in price and the demand will increase during the event. Once it's done you need to adjust your prices again.

The customers during normal days wanting specific things should not be enough to hold your rep down. Early Spring also has the Flower Festival so be careful with that. If you want to push it up quickly you can use a cheap item such as eggs if you have chickens, trees, or buy a case of wheat. Price it below wholesale and every time somebody buys it you gain rep. If you get into a tight spot for money you can fish and just junkman the fish to make sure you can pay your bills. Your rep should only take 1-2 days to max.

The cleaning lady is essential imo she removes the dirty store chance so you really only have to worry about messed up prices screwing up your rep outside of events.

Also if you didn't know the cellar will freeze spoilage time. So every night you can put your 1 day left items into it and pull them out the next day. You can also have a new case and have it in your hands while looking at an older case and hit "V" to merge them and it will average the expiration dates.

Your reputation ranges between 20 and 100, starting at 50. However, you can increase the max limit for reputation from 100 to 200 by placing decorations to your market.

A higher reputation increases your effective capacity, attracting more customers. For example, if your market capacity is 10 and your reputation is 50, your effective capacity is 5.

Sorry but the Reputationsystem is flawed like hell atm. The games does the same error most of these games do starting, Limit you with expensive licenses to buy products. Yet people ignore thte fact you van have said items or not. I know its somewhat realistic but we dont play games for unfair realism.

Thank you! I've just found out. Why doesn't this game give us the key introductions right at the start? It's really confusing.
