Now you can find the shark spot way easier. Throw out your fishing rod always near the buoy.
There is a 4% chance for catching a shark. This means, around every 25th fish you get will be a shark, The swordfish has a 5% chance, by the way.
Special Tipp: When you placed the buoy like I described, you can place fish traps around it and empty them every day. I recommend 10 fish traps at every spot.
If you look here, you can find another useful tipps around fishing (and other stuff of the game):

Thanks, that's actually really useful.
You are welcome!
The buoys are just for marking a spot. When you found the wanted fishspot, swim up to the surface and place the buoy on the water. So you know exactly where to fish (or use fish trap) to catch this fish.
To find the shark (and swordfish) is easy, but can be hard at same time. All I can say is: Swim to the exact spot, where the shark is. Use the wiki or the link in this thread to find the shark spot. Keep an eye on the map of your boat. Swim down a bit, the shark is swimming just few meters under the water surface.
Dont forget, when you found him: Watch its movement, find the middle of his movement path, swim to the surface and place the buoy to never miss the shark again.
[Edit]
The map in this thread is for the standard town, not for this new asia style town.
