How to fish?

I'm a bit confused about how the fishing rod works in this game. I know I can left-click to cast, but once I've hooked something, how do I actually reel it in?

The fishing mechanic in this game is the easiest one I have ever seen.
You dont need a bait. Just throw out your fishing rod and wait until something bites, then click. Its really that easy.

Thank you! I figured it out shortly after posting this, I'm just used to much more complex mechanics, so I wasn't sure why I kept dropping my fishing rod. It's also hard to tell that you're holding something when you're holding junk, so it confused me even more

Ah, yes, I forgot that you start without a bag and when you fish something (even trash), you throw away your fishing rod and hold what you caught, because you just have only one slot.

I recommend to buy as soon as possible the big bag.
Dont buy the horse too early, by the way. I am close to say: Dont buy the horse ever. Its nearly useless.
(If you want to follow the tutorial: You will get the money back if you buy the cheaper horse, but after this, the tutorial ends. By the way: The grey horse has 16 bags, the brown one only 8.)

omg, thank you for this. I was wondering the difference between the horses (I thankfully went with the cheaper one) and also felt the horse is totally useless.

You are welcome
One good use for the horse: You can let it infront of your shop, so you can use it as a storage. The items dont decay in its pockets (or your bag).
