I'm sorry you're encountering such issue.
Can you be more precise on what your experiencing please ? You have an infinite loading when trying to enter in Emily's room is that right ? In what quest please ?
To restart the game to a previous save point, you need to select the desired save slot from the main menu, then select the Episode menu. From that menu you can restart from any quest you that you have already started.

I will try to be as precise as possile. (excuse my english)
Uhm I was playing the beginning of the second epise. so the Hide and seek. got to the point where i had to check all the guests rooms and solve the murder as such.
then I wanted to enter Emilys room to go through hers, and It started loading. not as in my screen was frozen, cus it is not. but as just loading and loading and loading. after 10 minuttes i kinda gave up on waiting. so i forced the game to close down, as i could do nothing, as i was on that loading screen. I restarted steam cus it said the game was still running. then i opened the game again and tried opening the same savegame. and emediately got the same loading screen. tried the same things 3 times. forced it to close, restarted steam and so on. I have not opened it today cus i got so frustrated last night. so i have not tried starting from the last chapter in episode one yet (cus i didnt want to start over again)

Thanks for the precisions. As we never encountered that bug, can you please send a report (instructions below) ?
I hope we will be able to find a solution :)
A. Please provide a System Information report:
1. Press the keys Windows Start (bottom left) and 'R' from the keyboard to open the 'Run dialog box' and type: MSINFO32
2. Click the button 'OK'.
3. Click 'System Summary' (upper left).
4. Click 'File' then 'Export...'.
5. Enter a file name (from File name:) and save the file.
6. Close System Information.
7. Right click on the file and click 'Send To' then 'Compressed (zipped) folder'.
B. Please provide the game log (file 'The Council.log'):
1. Open 'Windows Explorer' or 'File Explorer' from the taskbar.
2. Open 'Documents' then the folder 'My Games' and 'The Council'.
C. For any issue during a game, please provide the corresponding savegame too (file 'SaveSlot1', 'SaveSlot2' or 'SaveSlot3'):
1. Open 'Windows Explorer' or 'File Explorer' from the taskbar.
2. Open 'Documents' then the folder 'My Games' and 'The Council'.
3. Open your SteamID folder.
Send your report with a description of the problem, the System Information report (compressed .zip file), the 'The Council.log' and the savegame files in attachment to: support@focus-home.com
