Games like this one?
Hi. I am really enjoying this game.
I find it very interesting and kind of complex compared to other games in the same genre.
Can anyone recommend other games like this one?
Maybe from the same developer or something?

Heavy Rain, Beyond, and Detroit are coming to Steam soon. Those are similar to this.

I can't think of anything else that uses skills and talents this much. And I play a lot of these games. However, if you're ok with just strongly story driven narrative games that also involve a bit of walking around and meaningful player choices...

AI: the Somnium Files if you don't mind Anime (and a few cartoonish scenes). Overall the game is pretty dark and has a serious atmosphere though. And some really great characters.
All of the Life is Strange games
Heavy Rain, Beyond two Souls and Detroit become Human are coming to Steam, like the above person said.

Hmmm if you don't mind much reading, you could also try Disco Elysium... it's a great adventure game with an RPG mechanic...

Vampyr also comes to mind... later on you could also try The Sinking City... currently it's still exclusive to Epic Game Store... but it will come to Steam.

Or if you like adventure games with impactful choice but a little bit simpler than The Council, I could also vote for Life is Strange series and Dreamfall Chapters series.

I can somewhat recommend Call of Cthulhu. It has skill system but it's somewhat flawed as is everything else about that game. It tries to do a lot of things but falls on its nose and doesn't do any of them better than average. You do something different in each chapter: finding objects/dialog choices based on stats/FPS/stealth/Ethan Carter ghost thing. I would rather prefer for it to have an well thought out constant core system, like The Council does. Nevertheless if you are craving occult mystery first person adventure game with multiple endings largely set in victorian mansions on an isolated island, could grab it on sale. If you were a fan of original Alone in the Dark, you might be more inclined to enjoy it, as looks like CoC draws some inspiration from it.

Dreamfall chapters is a must play!

Disco Elysium is good, but it's an entirely different game imo. If you're also a fan of TT RPGs like D&D then you'll probably like it. The dialogue in that game is also on the wackier side, less serious, which can be a good or bad thing.

We. The Revolution has the same vibe. I definitely recommend it if you liked The Council:

Actually I would recommend all Telltale games. (Batman, Walking Dead)

If you want some detective work as well especially Wolf Among Us.
I would also recommend Call Of Cthulu that was mentioned here.

And finally the modern Sherlock Holmes games (maybe the new yet to be released one from Frogwares) and Heavy Rain.
