After Louis gets his hand cut off.

Hi.
After I made a wrong decision with the puzzle and Louis got his hand chopped off, I was provided with the screen of assigning new skill points. At the moment I supposed that it is one of the game’s options, to proceed to the game with mutilated character. But then I was brought to the menu to choose the episode and the chapter to play, and the Episode 4 was not on that list.

Does anyone have a clue, why would the game allow you to assign the points if you’ve lost and need to restart from the begging of the chapter?

How do you define a spoiler?

What if in DOOM: Eternal's forum I create a thread "How to find a BFG", would you tell me the same, because some people might have not know that there is a BFG in that game?

Although it was quite unthoughtful of you to write a spoiler (and yes, it is a spoiler: it happens quite far in the game and is an unexpected plottwist) so straightforwardly, I'd like to say that it is indeed a game's option to have Louis' hand cut off till the end of the game, so it must be some sort of a bug that you wasn't able to start Episode 4 after the accident.

Or episode 4 was just not downloaded/installed yet.

I bought episodes 2-5 in one go and installed them at the same time and I could always just select one of the later episodes
