Episode 3 - Alternatives yet to be uncovered...
First off, solid episode!

I have completed the game and am now re-playing the episode, but there are still 2 alternatives I have yet to uncover.

1) "I could have witnessed Napolean's resolution" (Face to Face chapter)
2) "I could have reviewed the conference results with Godoy" (Last chapter)

Has anyone figured out how these are triggered?

I got the second one. I side with Holms and in the last chapter i talked to him in the big salon. The main room of the palace, you know, with the big chimney. And i think that's it.

Thanks lian2793! I ran past the chimney without even noticing Godoy sitting there!

I'm starting to think that the so-called "Napolean's resolution" could be the scene where he slams the servant for not closing his room window. If so, it's a bug in the game that it didn't get classified as Successful upon completing the chapter.

I am wondering "I could have learned something from Al Azif".

All I missed too. I was like: "Wait...Could I have conjured myself an army or something? Use it as a blunt object to kill Holms?"

Still no idea. It seems to imply I could have read it or something at one time.

Edit: Also; ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, Walter! ;)

How do you discover Peru's secret? Does he have to die to reveal it?

I wonder if the Al Azif bit could have come from Wollner? Like maybe there's a dialouge tree to get him to show us the book?

As for Peru's secret, I thought it was the letter on his desk?
DrXanadu Jul 25, 2018 @ 11:47am
It's not just the letter, since I've read it twice now and still failed to uncover his secret. I assume it's a dialogue branch I haven't taken either during his confrontation or on the balcony.

Well if you enter first in Perú room before going to Napoleon one you foun Wollner trying to talk with Perú, he can't but if you ask him what is he doing and use distraccion he will tell you that he's trying to find a key that Mortimer have to open the Al Azif, maybe is that? Louis said to himself "that's new information" or something like that but i' didn't trigger the "I could have learned something from Al Azif" So maybe its a bug?

I'm missing 3 things on "face to face":

1) witness bonaparte resolution (I talked to him in the sector start, but didn't make a difference)
2) Speak with piage and see his motivations (don't know where he is)
3) Information on al azif

Does anyone have any tips?

to get his secret, talk with him in the balcony, and then say nothing, he will start talking and you will discover his secret

To learn more about the Al Azif,

I had to follow Holm in the previous chapter. Then after the 2nd conference, visit Wollner's room and ask him about the Al Azif. He would reveal the details to you since you are on the same side.

I don't think you can learn more about the Al Azif if you chose to follow Mortimer though... or at least I haven't figured out how. I even tried choosing to go with Mortimer first, then allowing Emma to persuade me to switch sides, but it didn't work either.

I did this and still got it in alternate paths instead of completed ones.

Hmm you're right, I checked my save and I realised it still got listed as alternate paths! Probably a bug!! Or probably it's because I chose to send Von Wollner away when I entered Peru's room.

I remember I could have used Diversion on him and he would reveal one of the keys of the Al Azif in Mortimer's study, but he would still remain in the room, and I would be unable to examine Peru, hence I did not go with this path.
