What do you get out of helping Washington in ch. 1 ep. 2, besides unlocking a conversation option next time you meet Adams?

What do you get out of sending Adams away besides the alternative ending and beginning of ch 2?

If you choose to help Washington in ep 1, in ep 3, when talking to him in regard to why he should switch side, you will have the "You own me one" option - this will help you convince him.

Do you know whether there are other options to procure his support in that instance (does it just save you a few effort-points from what would otherwise be skill use?), or is the option truly unique?

The alternative option when convincing Washington is to choose Let's shake his faith but this still costs you points. No other options in this scene would work.
