Atleast i got to show Emiliy my family JEWELS last game i was hoping some new talent would enter the fray, that skanky junkie chick with the tats has gone missing and i just got done for it, I was busy banging Emiliy in this game yet the old fart goes full sick at me, im like GET FARKED MATE!
Thing that gets me the most is when you do have these skills your wrong anyway and you just spent 3 points wasting effort to find that out, what was the point in building skill in the first place when you fail conversations using these skills.
To be honest this is a poorly planned murder mystery the skills and classes are pointless and they hamper the enjoyment of the storyline. I like the more traditional detective puzzle game like Tex Murphy, Gabriel Knight, Rodger Wilco or Leisure Suit Larry.
One more thing i'll add, how do my choices really matter, i thought this game was about the way i played and that i would change the outcome in some unique way, so far i see the same bullcrap playedout in different way, i don't see my choices changing the outcomes of storys as the skills fail anyway when offered the choice to use them. I should by right ask for a refund because its kind of advertised wrong as my skills don't really have any impact and i don't see how my game personally differ's from any of yours.
The only time using a skill can fail, as far as I know, is when you stumble upon an immunity during a confrontation. The Immunity and Vulnerability system is there to keep you from just breezing through every confrontation using skill points; you have to uncover them for each character, through dialogue or exploration, and use them to your advantage against them. You don't even have to keep track of it, since they're all in your journal anyway.
And even though you do "fail" that check, you get experience for each immunity discovered, and a talent once you know all vulnerabilities and immunities for each character.
