Is someone able to explain what the correct answer is ? I tried it a few times with no luck

In the bible the nightmare thing is Apostels, 3rd Choice. At the lock behind the "painting nightmare" the code is 1191 - you find out after looking at a painting where it says 5190 in a weird calender which comes to 1191.

I am refering to thing at Act 1 where the Main Character wonders what Mother was refeirng to "As beyond the Nightmare" I tried a few options to no avail. Also been wondering about who that Prussian fellow is working for.

‘Nightmare’ is literal. It's a painting behind the desk in Lord Mortimer's study on third floor. And about von Wöllner, he works for Sir Gregory, or at least he admitted this when I guess Sir Gregory is the one behind him.

It was funny, when you take "allegory" it says : you didn't understand mother's notice..., After speaking in riddles an metaphors during all of the Bible Riddle "the nightmare" is literal... Whoever figured that out... Chapeau !!
