Rise of nations in deutsch/German?

A few minutes I bought this game, because it was offered as "supporting German language" on GUI level on the shop page. Unfortunatlely it doesn't. I checked the settings in steam (my library > Rise of Nations > properties > languages) and this was set to German. In the game I did not find an option to change the language. So I'm wondering now whether the game simply does not support German (than I'm very angry `cause it was offered as it does) or maybe I didn't find the right option to switch over to German ...
Can anyone please give me some feedback on this issue and point me in the right direction?

Ja dieses Spiel auf die deutsche OBERFLÄCHE einzustellen bekommt jeder hin aber Wie aktiviert man die deutsche SPRACHAUSGABE?

So das der Sprecher deutsch spricht?

You can change text within the rise2.ini settings.

default location to change language outside the game:
C:\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Games\Rise of Nations\rise2.ini

You can open the file with notepad.
On top you can change the language of the menu and the text language of the taunts in game (sound will remain english) if you set Language=EN to
EN => English
FR => French
DE => German
IT => Italian
ES => Spanish

These are also the languages you can select in steam-version by going to "options" then "player" inside the "display language"-box.

You can not change the taunt-sound by default tho.
But if you have a couple of friends who wants to make .wav files, you can replace english taunt-sound with your own voice overs without any trouble.

Lies nochmal denn gesammten Thread da steht bereits drin wie man OHNE in einerr ini rumzufuschen die Sprache der OBERFLÄCHE ändert!

Ich hab hier mal eine deutsche "taunts" Version von einer alten Rise of Nations installations-CD retten können.

Ihr müsst in dem Rise of Nations Ordner in den common steamapps und dort unter sounds meinetwegen den alten taunts-Ordner umbenennen zu beispielsweise "taunts_en" und den neuen taunts-Ordner aus meiner .rar-Datei in den sounds-Ordner schmeißen.
