Brighton or Britain?!

Really? "Brigh-ton" instead of "Britain" voiced in the second tutorial?!!! Did the voice over artist not think something was up when he recorded the words?

And poor old Boadicea is represented by a male Greek unit. I know this game is old but please send the Devs back in a time machine and fix this.

Despite the affront to my delicate British sensibilitiesI'm loving the game.

Glad you're loving the game at least! To my knowledge we kept all of the original voiceover files and didn't update them, so that would most likely be why. Unfortunately the original developer company is no longer in business so it would be difficult to track down why the voice actor pronounced it that way. Maybe next time they'll let me do the voiceovers- my boyfriend who is from the UK would never let me live it down if I pronounced it that way!

That is hilarious. I had noticed that when I first played years ago but I had completely forgotten. My guess is that the script the voice over guy was given must have had the word "Britain" spelt incorrectly (probably a typo). I find it impossible to believe that the voice over guy would not have known how to pronounce Britain.

@HelenAngel I'll hold you to the promise of any future voice overs having correct pronunciations. I can understand uncommon town names being mispronounced but not the entire country! It's like calling America something like Am Erica!

@afLaSHman He may have had some confusion over Britain and Briton as the text sometimes uses different spelling and confuses the two words which, in essence, aren't the same. He may have been given "Briton" to pronounce and thought, well I know how Britain sounds, so this one must be "bry" and "ton"
