Does multiplayer still works cause for a long time of not playeing i come back with my brother to play but for some reason the multiplayer every time it says that "can't connect to online service'. Is the game over for multiplayer , it does not work anymore? If someone can answer i thank you a lot.

Right now, the multiplayer server for Beta v1.20.2017 (new RoN server) is out of commission. Steam/Microsoft do not update this game at all. So it's safe to say either they turned the server off or something needs a fix. I have contacted the devs for Steam, Microsoft, and Skybox labs to address a solution.

If you revert back to Beta v1.10//2014, you can still play online, just that there arent as many players and the games sometimes crash for no reason. To revert, exit Rise of nations>

Go to steam library>
Right click Rise of Nations> Properties
Click Betas>
Change Beta to v1.10.2014
Wait for download and game will work like it used to.

Join discord for thread updates on the fix. Either Rise of Patience or Rise of Nations will have this info.

sad that devs abandoned the game, this is literally one of the greatest strategy games in the history.

When we friends play, some player keep dropping, game goes out of sync and there is also lag in game with more than 3 players. Whats the issue? This is the best game but multiplayer experience is ruining it :(

can you give tips for how to win on tougher difficulty?
i tried almost everything..and everytime they are stronger faster and richer...
