How come I can't find Rise of Legend on Steam?

Probably because it was arguably a flop of a game. People praised it for being awesome (never played it myself so I cant say personally.) but it only sold about something like a third of what RoN did. So I guess they didn't deem RoL worth the effort to fix and export instead. But you can always try contacting Skybox directly and ask about Legends, maybe they'll consider porting it to Steam along with RoN if enough people ask about it.

It was pretty sweet really. I guess people who expected another RoN were offput but it was solid.

Same thing here, but too many bugs and glitches and the game devs are making it worse right now.

How are they making it worse when the game hasn't been touched with a 10 foot pole in over 10 years? Also it's not a glitchy game in my opinion. Only bug I ever encountered was broken pathfinding but that is pretty much it.

The only reason ROL flopped because we have all been expecting a rise of nations 2 but we were slapped in the face with a fantasy game, Yes ROL is a great game in its own right but the fans got alienated if they could have made it after RON 2 it might have been a success. like AOM a spin off after like 2 AOE Games

A RON2 Total Conversion mod is possible inside Rise of Legends, see here[rol.heavengames.com] and the User Patch here.[rol.heavengames.com]

It's possible ROL will be available on Steam and the Windows Store in the future as AOE1-3 are getting Definitive Editions[www.ageofempires.com] for the Windows Store featuring cross-play with the Steam EEs.

RON will also be available on the Windows Store next month.[news.xbox.com]

Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends is seriously underrated !!
It is a really great game and it ought also get a remake and get on Steam
(I probably got three or four brand new physical copies of it somewhere)(wanted to be sure that I didn't run out of the game )

I know, Rise of Legends was one of my favorite RTS games. I am really disappointing its not on here. It was a Starcraft-like game that had the standard three races all were unique and the heroes were pretty cool. I think this, universe at war and Freelancer are the games I want on steam the most right now.

Same here.it really is shameful that we don't get another Rise of legends 2 or at lest get it on steam i used to played it when i was a kid Rise of legend have really great if not the best soundtrack and gameplay mechanic.

All the races being unique is one of the reasons why I liked it better than RoN.

Hope it's a wildcard they kept hidden only to be announced with couple of other unannounced titles. At the moment all age of empires are getting revived. Guess they wait for the sale figures first.

Rise of Legends was a really great game, IMO way better than the stock rise of nations games which were easily surpassed by age of empires.

It's a shame rise of legends is not on Steam and that THERE IS NO Rise of Legends 2 yet :(
