not really, but 8 colors is the max yes.

In quick battle you can click the color next to the AI's/your name and change it. It's kinda glitchy for some reason but you can play as every color in the game

What about the campaign? Can I change my color in for the campaign?

That's unfortunate and weird, considering that all Microsoft's RTS games set the campaign player collor to blue and the enemy's to red.
