I bought "Metro Last Light Complete Edition" last summer sale and judging from comments of persons that have played the Redux version, there is little to no difference if you don't run the game at maximum settings.
Decision: Not worth it if you already played it or you don't care about the graphics. There are a lot new awesome games coming out every year, so you won't have time to play it again, most likely.
Metro 2033 Redux - Worth picking on sale.
For me, the difference between only Metro 2033 and the Bundle is like $2 (in Europe) at a total of about $9 for both. That's a steal considering the real price for both is at about $50.
But I'm a student. Also, I have a lot of games in the library I never played. I want GTAV, Dark Souls and Far Cry 4 without overspending on stuff I won't have time to play.
Final conclusion: (it=both)
If you have OCD - grab it!
If you want to replay it - grab it!
If your wallet has enough left for the other stuff you want more like maybe GTAV - grab it!
If you're not gonna replay it - don't buy it!
If you are healthy - don't buy it!
If you don't want to overspend - don't buy it!
STILL CAN'T DECIDE?
Look at your Wishlist and at your Wallet. Consider if it's worth to buy the same game 2 times.
I can afford it, but its more a matter of principle for me. Going off of your review, I think I will pass on LL redux, thanks!
Yep, that's one reason I should have included too.
If you own the original LL, buying redux at this point will just be a waste of money. Even that little difference of $2/$4 between 2033 and LL will be more useful if used for another purchase. Plus, if you're an achievement hunter, buying unnecessary games will just ruin your stats.
Glad I helped you decide.
I decided to go for it. I love Metro 2033 and figured I was going to replay it again, so I might as well play a better version with some extra features when I do.
For sleeping dogs I decided NO. It already looked great and not much was added for the extra money.
Depends if you plan on playing these again. I do, so I went for it.
Aka not having to hold down your right mouse button the entire game.
