Startup Crash at Continue Fix In Chapter D6

I was playing Metro LL Redux, Chapter D6 and got half way through it, stuck at how to defeat the tank. I got tired and went to bed. Next day the game would crash to desktop if I hit Continue.

I tried deleting appcache and downgrading/reinstalling my Nvidia drivers, changing resolutions and even reinstalled the game. Nothing worked. Then I rememerbed I was half way through the chapter and thought, why not start the chapter over?

So I went to the main menu and restarted the D6 chapter and Viola! It worked. There must but a weirdness bug at the tank sub-chapter auto-save causing problems, or something.

I don't know if this will help anyone else, maybe only those stuck at chapter D6 with the startup/Continue crash, but it's worth a try.

Again - if you can at least get to the Continue screen, don't continue! Instead Reload the chapter or maybe try a different chapter, see if you get in that way. It worked for me!

I had exacly the same error. Reapting whole chapter from last checkpoint.

How can I finish the game now? I'm stuck in this chapter with no ability to restart from the last checkpoint.

I'm in the hardest difficulty mode and there's no way I would keep repeating the whole chapter. It takes too long

Read the OP, reload from the chapter select menu.... or reload the previous chapter if you're still having issues. Also run as admin and post system specs if you want help from the community.
