Is Metro Last Light better than 2033 in your opinion?
I'm on the D6 level, one more chapter to go. I don't want it to end and so is Metro Last Light more or less a continuation or is it a new beast. For those that have played both, how does 2033 compare to Metro Last Light? Metro 2033 kind of feels clunky I guess is the best word to describe it imo. Is this improved?

I have the redux version of both fyi.

Yes M:LL is better.

The two Redux games are nearly identical gameplay-wise, unless you can actually tell us what felt "clunky" about 2033 Redux it's unlikely we can give you an answer other than "probably not".

I think the Redux versions are equally good, with each having a different set of small problems.

imo, original 2033 was way better and had nice atmosphere than last light

I like Last light more.
They are both exceptional games, and if you want more story, more enemies and some more weapons then Last Light is a no brainer.

I give ( SLIGHT) edge to Metro Last Light.

I agree, I think that the way they stictched the two games together is seamless! The weapons though are not that much different, though it seems you get more into marksmen type weapons in Last Light! And larger ammo capacity for assult rifles!

I think Last Light shines more in the action, story, and set-piece departments, while I love 2033 more for its very dark and oppressive atmosphere, some really memorable and harrowing scenarios, and the greater emphasis on the survival aspect.

But both do all those things mentioned great when you compare them to the lot of games out there, and are excellent pieces of interactive art that hold a dear spot in my heart.

Here's to hoping Stalker 2 will take some inspiration from them, and also not be a huge bust!

They are both amazing, both do different things, both have different atmosphere. Please don't put one above another because you simply cannot.
