Can't set 2560x1440

So I've tried launch options cfg options DSR enabled and still nothing. I've searched the threads has anyone else got another solution?

Bro it's a game that came out in 2014. Modern resolutions don't work really well.

I had to put the game on 1280 x 720 because 1920 x 1080 kept crashing the game.

So I just gave the game better graphic settings and less resolution. You're basically trying to play an old game on 2K resolution which it's why it doesn't work.

Wait what? I'm playing at 2560x1440 no problem. The option was there in the settings and it works perfectly fine. Metro 2033 Redux crashed occasionally at that (mostly when selecting chapters to collect missing stuff) but Last Light so far works flawlessly.

Max I see is 1920x1440 for some reason. You didn't have to do anything special?

Nope, just installed and launched it. Double checked it just now, it's set to 2560x1440

I was curious and Googled it, seems like a couple of people have had this issue in the past. One of them said updating drivers fixed it for him, that's the only thing I could find. Did you check your screen resolution? Maybe windows update or something like that changed it or something?

Just reinstalled drivers and got a 4090 today lol. Still capped at 1920x1440 in this game even geforce experience when i hit optimize recommends 2560x1440 but it doesn't set for some reason

Well in my experience older games always run trash with too much res haha.

had this issue on my 1440p asus strix 270 hz monitor on rtx 3090 ti

i tried ediditng .cfg nope
drivers nope
custrom res nope
nothing worked

what did work is my monitor has 240 hz normal mode and 270 hz over clock mode in the display menu on the monitor it self . i disabled 270 hz so just 240 hz none oc mode on the display settings and evything is fine with 1440p for me now took me 3 days to figure it out

Just want to jump in and say that I too couldn't see 2560x1440 (only lower resolutions were available) but as soon as I turned off my monitor FPS overclock it worked!

told ya guys it works metro doesnt like the over clocked monitor oc settings for some reason if your monitor is say 144 hz and it has oc mode in monitor settings to 165 try 144
