There's literally no where in the game where they sell filters. Kinda stupid actually, thinking about it. I ran out of air too in the swamp area during the final fight, was this close but their stupid talking etc actually killed me.

This makes filters as valuable as MGR's you find out there or more.
i dont see how u guys would run out of filters unless u were playing survival mode as i always never run out of filters in the swamp area

We are on survival mode, son. And if you actually take your time killing all the monsters there, you are pretty sure to run out of filters even with picking up all the other filters in the swamp area.

even if so i dont see the point of killing the mutants in the swamp area as i did play on ranger hardcore and even if it wasnt the same thing as surviva model i did managed to get to the next area as without needing to kill every mutant out there like u guys which would mean u would sufficient amount of filters to get to the next level

Played it on survival ranger hardcore and I can say: There are enough filters to get through every level easily on every difficulty, you just gotta find them. The trick is to not waste too much filter time on searching for loot.

yeah i had same issues; my instinct was to search and loot everything due to what other games trained me to do.

Then, I kept running out of air... that church sequence, I had to replay it a few times to keep their dialogue from killing me. That taught me to run and gun, and really, just run!

I guess it's true of what they say in real life, in this game too-- you can't take it with you when you die! Of course if I had found more filters in the first place, I wouldn't have had to go searching for them and not finding them.

It is a bummer there are no filters for sale, even if just a couple at a high price.

It isn't a problem of if I am getting good, it's that there is this whole map the designers made, it seems like a crime to not explore it. Or explore it and revert to a save like in a normal game that isn't a checkpoint that crippled my progress because I wanted to look at the level design...
When I first got into that area, I was rather curious about checking all the corners, and when I saw the church right in front of me, I probably wasted another minute looking around thinking I should have been safe.

After replaying that area and running through all those useless mobs, I realized I had tons of filters left -_-".

In anycase, it really doesn't make any sense about not selling filters..... If it ever had occured in the real world, selling filters will be the next most profitable thing to do, unless of course it's as rare as the MGR currencies.

because its rare to find them and also no one produces the filters which makes them so hard to find as well its isnt used as much like guns or foods as not many people go to the surface unless u are a stalker or a soilder

How about scavengers? Also, the soldiers? There are tons in the game arent there?

We have reds, Nazis, the order, and possibly a throng more of others, i.e. yakuza, bandits, and what have you.

They should be selling the filters (at least in military installations) I should think.

Hopefully Metro Exodus fixes this.
the scavengers are the stalkers as they are the ones who venter to the surface to find materials and so on and o dont think any one would dare to go to other tunnels to venter because of the mutants and other factions in the game and im sure in metro exodus they would sell filters because for the first time we are at the surface and not in the metro so they would definately sell them .
