Workarounds for the Bandit Stealth bug?

I have gotten the bug where you are unable to knock out or stealth kill any enemies past the level "Bandit", Ive reloaded previous chapters and played through it again but the same thing happens yet again. Id really like to know if theres any workaround for this besides giving up my stealth playthrough or restarting the entire game to take the chance that it wont happen again, as it might just happen again. I know this is a known bug and its never been fixed but surely someone must know a workaround?

EDIT: After some save file messing about, ive determined that it is infact a save-tied bug and theres probably nothing you can do on the save itself which means that everyones advice of "replay the previous chapters" or "replay the whole game" is probably correct. Tomorrow ill try and replay the chapter before Regina as stealth works on that chapter and see if replaying to bandits works, ill also try things like swapping weapons and doing things weird and see if that messes with it.

Hello Friend! Do not worry, the same thing happened to me and I went on my way, I tried to get all the positive karmas and the achievement I got the same. I have killed everyone in the bandit level and in the red square level and I got the trophy. You just have to increase your character with positive actions, obviously avoid killing in the remaining levels.

Started a new playthrough and its still broken right at the same part.

Try to play a hole chapter, load next at the beginning and then quit game. Next time you start playing; use Chapter selection and chose the last saved. Then you start at the beginning of the last saved level, with all saves in place. I did this in both redux games and had no more problems with those bugs when I didnt use Continue. Using last checkpoint worked fine then.

Kinda unrelated but trying to help if something like this happens

I luckily didn't get the same bug but the game was locking up when I was trying to knock out the two guards that talk about going on patrol right next to the railroad switch, the knockout animation would play out but I'd get stuck in place my only option pausing the game

I tried restarting from the last checkpoint several times but the same thing kept happening, so I tried quitting to the Main Menu and pressing Continue and it never happened again

Restarting from last checkpoint after that worked every time

Am I supposed to beat the level that doesnt work then start a new game and then go back to the chapter select?

In conclusion "all the solutions" that you say does not work any all are s.h.i.t., unfortunately 4A Games was not careful about the issue bugs and glitches. In other words, there is no solution with these types of problems, not being able to knockout someone, locking in a specific point, etc.

It's a general suggestion to avoid bugged levels using continue. if you start 1 or 2 levels before the one you have bugs in, then you do as i wrote. When you start the bugged level from the beginning, you know everything worked fine up to that point. Then you should be able to bypass this bug, using chapter selection. This is a workaround for avoiding bugs when using continue.

Ive tried going back multiple chapters, going back to the beginning entirely, doing it all in one shot, I dont know how to get past this bug.

I remember on my first playthrough, I didnt go for stealth kills... i killed them all. Didnt bother for the "Good achivements" only the the bad one. Next playthrough I was in for the good achivements and did the stealth kills, with no alarms in bandits and got the achivement.

You can kill them all, rescue the woman and child without alarm, then you get the Commando achivement. In the beginning of the level, put on silencer for AK and/or pistol or an airpump weapon for long range stealth kills.

So i guess you can/have to do it like that. I played on spartan first and then on Survival...

This is my exact problem. But your fix doesnt seem to work for me sadly.

I realize this post is now quite old, but I found something that fixed it for me. Go to level selection, select Revolution and then go through it (and do the moral points if you want, I did all of them). When you get to Regina just go through the entire level without doing ANY moral points. At the start of Bandits DO NOT do the first moral point (because I am not sure if that could also cause this). If you can stealth knockout or stealth kill the bandits who are trying to rape the woman then it works.

this sucks

I don't know what this 'stealth bug' is exactly but I am in chapter Revolution and NPCs stopped doing things, except 1 or 2. All other 10 (or so) NPCs stay at the same spot and don't move. I cannot even kill them, The game is broken for me completely.

The game breaks by just normal playthrough, It is a known bug since nearly a decade and no fix. This sucks. Too bad, the game seemed to be nice.
