Is there anyway to enable the dev console?

I'm just asking because I am low on MGR and I'm at the last weapon trader in the game (the one in the train depot) and I want to get the Preved and fully mod it.

so far i've only found people talking about the famous "cheat engine" u kno and that sucks, dont get me wrong im grateful there's software available to help us but FPS are well known for the ingame "console" which give ya cheats access plus other funny stuff like big heads, op enemies, clip mode, super speed, slow mo and more but i think we cant get the "console" function in metro coz no one ever talks about it instead they say "use cheat engine".

had to search in reddit, youtube, this board and more but cant find a reliable "cheat engine" metro last light files, 1st you need the software, then other specific files for metro last light to make cheat engine work properly. idk if steam allows users to post links for cheat engine files and stuff but that would help us a lot, anyway ill try with a youtube vid the guy who made the video succesfully cheated in metro 2033 and the vid description says it works for last light redux, ill let u know if everything works fine.

Don't bother cheating, but there is cheat engine if you must. If you don't know how to use, find a table online, pick your exe, and select the injections you want. There are guides all over the internet.

Well I found a remedy for my MGR problem by going back to the bandit chapter, switching to hardcore, and selling all the guns the bandits dropped. Still, knowing how to work the dev console cause exploring outside maps in free cam is fun

Sometimes you need it. Like for me the game saved in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ moment and i cant be asked to go through the mission from the start

Apparently If you put "C:\Program Files (x86)\Metro Last Light\MetroLL.exe"-dx9 in the target location (properties) it forces Metro to use Direct X 9, witch in turn will force the debug menu to open, I found this on Level1Techs but I have no Idea how to do it myself as the instructions seem convoluted.
