It's somewhat harder to fight them, since the weapons got nerfed to librarians compared to the original 2033. But a good placed load of a quad barrel Duplet can one shot him. And even if he survived that, he's almost dead anyway. A switch to the secondary weapon or a sticky grenade does the rest.
A Hellsing is available in the toilet of the library, but I always sell it. I prefer the Duplet with quad barrel and the AK-74. And there's no way to block any spawns.
This post is old tho
Im just saying : farming for MGR indeed is worth it. I made like 200 on my first ranger hardcore run after getting heavy armor.
Yea, i also sell the hellsing. Strangely it sucks against librarians and its damage doesnt seem to actually be the same to librarians compared to other enemies. It also doesn't flinch
Spawns indeed are the same
You know that the whole "necro thread" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ doesn't interest me. Also this thread is just a litte bit more than a week old. But if you prefer that your thread rots in hell and keeps unanswered, your loss.
In the Kshatriya mission, Military rounds aren't that important like in the main campaign. All you really need is the heavy combat suit, a quad barrel Duplet for librarians and enough filters. You can even skip the hazmat suit, that you'd need anyway just for the one big contaminated hall.
You dont really need a heavy combat suit. 4 barreled duplet is great too
Tho, i preffer to instead get a Shambler. Its less costly than the 4 barrel duplet because you dont need to upgrade it and it doesn't eat 2 rounds when firing it at enemies you can easily OHK. It performs well against librarians because while 1 entire clip might not kill, just toss a throwing knife or 2 and gg.
+ A little tip : on the Librarian that spawns once you get the Balalaika and tries to grab you : If after the little cutscene, you imediatelly run into the exit to the alley or just stand there for a really long time, you can have that librarian despawn and never be a problem again. The 2 sleeping librarians can be despawned by alerting both, and then running back into the sewer shortcut into the base. It will despawn both for a while, so you can just run to the next section
On the sewer shortcut, there is also a weird, flickering lamp. If you back away and activate the NVG while looking at it, the NVG will distort a little for a while.
And for the librarians, I just kill them all. Because I can.
1. True that
I also kill librarians ( that i cant despawn ) They are too much of a hassle when you stare every single one of them down and keep them alive still roaming as they sometimes imediatelly go back into the map. Plus, considering they can still sometimes OHK if you have a heavy suit, i'd rather not take any risk
I'm nearly at the end game.
Have i missed something or what?
This thread relates to the Kshatriya DLC mission, NOT the main game.
I didn't know this game had any dlcs
then again i only played the orginal Metro 2033
This is my first time with the Reduxes and first time LL
Assuming you are on PC, go to Chapter select menu and press Q to bring up the DLCs. They are short, but mostly pretty good - Kshatriya is probably the best. The one exception in my view is Heavy Squad - it is mindless.
