is it just me or do the Nosalis kind of ruin the game

to me the Nosalis just aren't fun at all they swarm in massive numbers overwhelm you and they just attack nonstop they're not a challange they're not fun they're just incredibly annoying ive had times where ive stopped playing the game for a few days just because its a level with a lot of Nosalis

They would be less annoying, if they wouldn't jump and claw you like autistic children.
They worked better in the original 2033.

Ranger mode makes them more aggressive, also try sneaking, and prepare for the game to wreck your face off.

i do sneak past them since listening to Khan and the little dark one i realised that some of the mutants wont actually attack you outside of scripted areas but the Nosalis are still annoying

I beat the part of that level where you have to wait for the guy in the boat and you get attacked by nosalises just by running in circles. They are slightly faster than you but if you keep running then you move out of range before they can complete an attack animation.

I did that, but also i did a 180 regulary to shoot them w my shotgun

I'm playing the game a second time on ranger hardcore survival mode that's supposed to put my resource management to the test. However, there are several instances involving certain ferries and lifts ( if you played the game you know what these are) where the game just decides that in order to crank up tension, it has to artificially throw a bunch of enemies at my face regardless of the style of play I've chose to employ up to that point. It's cheap and unimaginative and unfit for a game with otherwise flawless atmosphere design.

Occasional dips in enemy encourters notwithstanding, Metro Last Light is one of the best FPS I've ever played, and in terms of world-building and atmosphere, it's the best, until Exodus comes out I'm sure.
