Run Out Of Gas Mask At Church

Help! i cannot continue the game ran out of gas mask at church in the starting point

I just made a rage thread about this.

In this case (among many) you may have missed the items to your back left which are trip-wired (if you load on the scnd floor). Then instead of going the walkway down to the church you jump down to the truck on the left and and inside is another filter. You will still have little time so do it fast. Just jump in the water infront of the truck and you will get up where you want.

You should have prox mines that you can places before you cross the log. When you manage to kill boss you can jump on the log again just when they start to turn it. Then just run for the door as you dont need mask inside church.

Just for anyone's reference, this game encourages exploration a lot. If you play it like your average CoD campaign of run and gun, you'll find yourself starving resources of all kinds very soon.

Let's be honest...the lack of air filters has NOTHING to do with liking shooting galleries. Sure you could be screwed ammo wise...but the game gives you plenty as is. You'd have to go out of your way to run out....unless the survival mode in this version is significantly different from the regular version of last light.

Totally NOT the point I'm trying to make here. Also interestingly enough, this is far from the first thread complaining about the lack of air filters or ammo I've seen in the past 3 years. That obviously includes the original MLL.

I've finished the game on the hardest difficulty and filters were never a problem for me. Ammo was the biggest problem but it's possible to survive. I would also like to mention that I explored every single place on each level to find Artyom's Journal and I've found many resources. I would advise to start again from the last saved level.

Uh what are you talking about? The lack of air filter actually DIScourages exploration, at least on the surface. In fact the best way to avoid running out of air filters if you haven't finished the level before is do it CoD style, gunsling your way to the objective.

i just did a fast campaign and basically tried to run when i could and filters were plenty. Also, you can play as stealth and ammo aint gonna be a problem. Although i like to play games and do not stress with ammo at all.

On your first playthrough if you take time to explore it's likely you will run out of filter time. So to mitigate this, take your gas mask off for a sec, off for a sec, then on etc etc. This will drastically prolong your filter time, because you don't immediately suffocate after taking off mask.

keeping up a necro trend here, my first playthrough on ultrahardcore (cant even see my own inventory/crosshair or anything that isnt models in the game, i switch grenade types by holding tab and listening to the sound it makes) i am stuck at a point where i have 20 seconds left of air and i just started the ferry. every life i look in a new part of the map only to find that i had been there before. im almost out of ammo and the ferry is nowhere close. extremely frustrating. if the game wants me to run through it should just tell me.
