Last Light copied all of 2033's missions?
I dont get it, I played Metro 2033 last December and now im playing Last light....It's all the same missions, the swamp the Pavel double cross, the armoured car, the elevator....why were the devs so lazy they just wrote in the journal that ur doing something different and mention that u were the guy that fouind D6.
I simply cant enjoy it as much as 2033 bc its like im playing it all over again expecting somehting new.

Am I missing something??

No, it is pretty much the same game done again. I didn't mind because I played 2033 ages ago so was ready to play LL in anticipation of Exodus. It's a decent game but it's not massively different to the first one.

Did you play the original 2033? If you did, you should notice all the changes and know that Redux made them more unified... and I don't think their stories were anything alike: 2033 is a coming of age story with a known, paranormal threat. Last Light is a redemption story and the enemy is yourself (Artyom and humans in general).

How did you miss this?

I know the stories differ....but you fight the same bosses, in the same exact way in both games. My point is they reused missions. IN both games u befriend pavel and get betrayed in both games u save anna and smash....in both games u fight a giant stalker and make him crash intop the pilars until he dies...and inboth games you drive an armored car down the tracks, you also get saved from torture by the commy leaders son in both games...in the exact same way. Yes they changed the story but the missions are recycled. They took a shortcut and ity seems im the only one to notice

You even get a dance from the stripper while snooping on pavel the same exact way in both 2033 and last light,....its almost as if they didnt expect ppl buying last light to have even played 2033. and yeah ik theyre remakes of the old ones

Metro Last Light has more interesting missions in my humble opinion. Also, it gave to us more moral problems than first game. Betrayal, mutants who won't always attack you, etc. Swamps and ice frozen bridge area were nice improvement over kinda boring outdoor areas from first game. The only thing which bugs me is that I bought original metro last light in 2013 and not so long after this, the developers announced last light redux. This alone makes me kinda careful with future Exodus. I wish I didn't buy basically the same game twice. The original last light has like more than 70 achievements to unlock but I don't want to bother with that.

You know that Pavel from Last Light and Pavel from 2033 are not the same person. Been a while since i played the games but if i remember correctly Pavel from 2033 is a Spartan Ranger who saves you from the Nazis. Pavel from LL is a red army officier. Also, Pavel from 2033 dies so it cant be the same person... And no, in 2033 you dont get saved from Nazis by the Reds cuz you butchered both the Reds and the Nazis a minutes earlier. And there is no Anna in metro 2033 mate. You got it wrong sry.

And if we are going to put it that way then every COD game is the same, every Assassins creed game is the same, every STALKER game is the same... i could go on

There are four distinct games - Metro 2033, Metro Last Light, Metro 2033 Redux and Metro Last Light Redux. There are though only two stories - Metro 2033/Metro2033 Redux and Metro Last Light/Metro Last Light Redux. The gameplay varies to some extent between the two stories.
Differences between Metro 2033 and Metro 2033 Redux are more obvious than in the Metro Last Light and Metro Last Redux story.

There are no differences in the stories between original and redux versions. Redux just has better graphics but its the same game as the original.

Basically, but not exactly. In the case of Metro 2033 versus Metro 2033 Redux, there are differences in game play, the way in which some levels are meshed and some additional areas added....

Took me 21h to complete the game and bonus missions.

And i dont think you even played metro 2033, you probably played last light and last light redux since everything you are talking about happens in last light
Jig McGalliger Sep 27, 2017 @ 3:55pm
2033 did not have bossfights at all. Some of the second game's appeal was the homage to the original.

Pavel is a common name in Russia (so is Artyom and Melnik), one was a Ranger, the other a commie.

Where in 2033 are you betrayed by an ally?

They actually spent an extra year on development than originally planned for LL.

There is no nudity in 2033, were there ever strippers? When do you ever even look at Anna in 2033?

In 2033 you are the gunner of an armored railcar for an instance, you ride as a passenger in two other railcars throughout the game, these are railcars are the only real means of transportation in the Metro and are common. In LL you get to ride a big full on train and control your own unarmored railcar made by Andrew in any direction.

When does a Red save you from 2033? You are the one killing and possibly saving Reds, but the only time you are rescued is by Spartan Rangers.

Did you play the same game twice? I bet you did.
