For instance:
You have level called Friend... Or something like that. It's the level where you are saving Pavel from hanging. You can kill everyone but if you will leave those guys who surrender, listen to nazis talking, collect a stash in vent-you get more moral points.
I was just curious because I've read some paranoid comments and guides that say whenever you kill you get bad karma. So I've been trying to avoid doing that.
I've also been exploring and evesdropping, because it makes the game more enjoyable for me. I like taking my time and enjoying games for what they are rather than bum rushing through them.
I just wanted to know if I can kill mutants to my heart's content without affecting my pretty good karma point score (I've been keeping tally, I have 46 so far).
No, you will lose moral points for killing mutants at some location in the chapters. Good thing you are counting the score, but remember some moral points weigh more than the others. Also you do something good you get +1 point but if you something bad at same location, you do not always net -1 moral point, it can be greater and vice versa.
In my ending there is a family, Anna I assume with Arytom's son. The dark ones leaving for somewhere new. Is that the good ending? edit : So it appears that isn't the good ending. Also looks like you need at least two playthroughs for all achievements so I'll need to play again on Spartan.
Thats what i used to think when i started to test out the moral points tally. But no, i did what you did(the 3 important choices including saving Lesnitsky and doing everything else in negativity) and it presented me the C'est la Vie ending. Then doing everything opposite it still gave me C'est la Vie ending. Mix up everything -- Redemption/C'est la Vie ending. Do almost everything in order -- Redemption ending. So i still think there is a tally for moral points to reach the ending. You did what you wanted to do in that situation while in the game(i assume without referring to guide for the first time) and got the Redemption one! Good for you!

I don't know how this has gotten so hard to answer.
Well i already answered your question.

You should be avoiding contact anyway. Play a different game if you want non stop action.
Don't shoot enemies that surrender
The bear in the garden? Knock the nosalises off it, help it live
Stealth will be your friend in the rest of the game.
Mutants/monsters that openly attack you are, more or less, fair game, if you can reasonably avoid the creature/person, don't light 'm up, but for boss fights? hit them like they owe you money.
