Crashing to desktop after loading screen

I bought the Redux version of Metro. I finished Metro 2033 without any problem, however i'm having trouble with crashing to desktop in Metro Last Light.

Initially, the crashing was occurring at random chapters, but now i can't get passed the narration in the loading screen.

I'm at the point where you have to escape from the Red Army, just after the railcar brake down and you enter in Nosalis territory.

I searched for this problem and it seems to have happened with others, although i couldn't find a solution. Anyone found a way for fixing this?

Finishing my monologue: I just restarted the Bandit's Chapter (which i was avoiding to do) and get through the part that was crashing with no problems. So far so good. In the meantime i also updated my VGA driver just to be sure. Let's see how far will i go.

Verify integrity for localfiles in steam library for LL. Use chapter selection to start the game. Always end the game by loading next level and then quit to main menu. Then you can use chapter selection to continue the game.

I got the crashing problem a few more times after i restarted the Bandit's Chapter, but differently from the last time, i was able to continue from where it crashed. It's really a bug from the game and i wonder why the company doesn't fix it in any update. It's really annoying.

Currently experiencing this problem in 'The Undercity' level. I crashed twice when I was advancing through the level and now I've hit a point where I instantly crash after selecting 'Continue'

Tried verifying integrity, Didnt work. Will try restarting the level from the chapter menu and update if it works.

EDIT: Restarting the level from the chapter menu seems to have worked as I was able to progress without a single crash
