No worries but I do think putting some coins down does give a moral point
That's one of the issues with Ranger/Hardcore - a lot of these QTE events are complete guesswork. A lot of the time you don't even know you're in one until you die.
You aqre supposed to play the game blind to experience it raw, act as if you are in the situation, you can't always plan for the unexpected. They made much of them obvious enough to where you should know what to do even with Ranger mode. It's always mash E or melee.
