You should have played 2033 first. The redux version is not as good as the original version, but it fits better now with last light, as it now uses the same engine and incorporated many of the new gameplay mechanics from last light, like burning webs, spider monsters, wiping the mask and stuff like that, as well as the new stealth mechanic, which is too easy but is better than the broken stealth in the original 2033 I suppose.

If you haven't been doing already, I suggest playing ranger hardcore, and on survival mode if you're up for it.
This is definitely the best way to enjoy these games if you like a challenge. It also removes all HUD and UI, so it adds to the atmosphere and immersion a great deal.



Lastly, I know I'm too late but it might help others; the part with the nosalises attacking while waiting for the ferry, I went up the stairs and just moved around up there using the shambler shotgun, sprinting while reloading, and popping molotovs to burn them at the tops of the stairs, to thin out their numbers.

No cheat codes for game, although there are cheat engines available. I would not recommend it though, it would break the game for me, no point (Its not that hard, even on Ranger HC, thats just down to you).

Finally clear two rooms full of guys with a shotgun and then can't get into office n run out of filters of which u only get two .

On the level you are talking about there is a Quad Barrel shotgun at the top of the two stairs in the center under the light. While its a mid teir weapon shotguns are the best weapon for most monsters, if you can get a Saiga for that level, while it requires you to be close because of the limitations of barrel mods most monsters are going to end up being close and in your fact thus the Saiga is the best all around shotgun, two shots tends to do it try to aim for the head.

The Assault Rifles, Pistols and SMGs are for Human targets, Shotguns for most monsters, while anything bigger like the miniguns, sniper rifles and launchers are for the bigger bosses. Sticking to this helps spread out your ammo more,

And if you get stuck because you suck like me or just want to play the game for the story there's always cheat engine.

If you dont want to waste too much ammo, just keep running around in that area, keep doing it until the ferry is quite close then, if u do get hit by one of them, use a shotgun to kill a few.

Alternatively, if you are in the ferry area, hide behind the big tree close to the ferry. Shrimps wont care to you in there and demons will literally go through the tree once or twice trying to grab you and then give up.

Pro tip: learn how to actually play the game and stop trying to find cheats. I honestly dislike people that use cheats just because they can't pass a level that doesn't have anything to do with bad game design or issues like bugs or something.

so can we cheat np? i always cheat with FPS i did it with Doom games, alien vs predator games, half life and more, why? its fun!! the noclip, infinite ammo, god like mode and just running through killing non-stop, some people doesnt have enought time to properly play games and cheats help em to "enjoy" most of it.

for metro last light, the thing we need is "cheat enginre" right? idk whats that lol but google has all the answers
