Maybe it's a DX 10 game then, DX 10 is not officially available on XP, but there are workarounds.

The reason is quite simply that Microsoft doesn't support Windows XP anymore and so developers don't support it either. It's EOL. It may run on XP but no one gives you a guarantee.

Why are some of you still running XP come guys the support has been dropped for it its that old. At the very least you should be running Windows 7 (We'll pretend Vista never happened)
