It's a game released in 1999 with last patch applied over 20 years ago.

You do really need to tweak it using RVGL to make it somewhat playable. In v1.0, which it is the one that comes with Steam and GOG, you can't even use a controller.

like said above... this is not a remaster, but a cash grab by a greedy publish that doesn't give a F about this game. besides cashing in from people in hope to get an updated version, which this 100% is not.

I don't want anyone to touch the game as far as i'm concerned, most of the time it turns out worse than it otherwise would have.

so they did nothing with it but giving you the base game and there are workarounds for making it work... fantastic, ill probably end up going the gog version of this then. thanks.

and yea, im use to old games needing some amount of poking and prodding to make work, I just don't like needing to spin a vm up to make a game work as intended, some games will run ok natively even though they are old as dirt, some games need extensive work arounds to even get to the 'maybe it will work' stage.

RVGL fixes literally everything, granted the base game should've been that way. But use RVGL, and controller support, modding, multiplayer, all are available. You can just add the RVGL files to the steam copy, and then rename the rvgl exe to revolt, and boom, rvgl on steam
