Small critique of the trailers
Hey Devs, no hate whatsoever but I need to say this:

I only today saw the trailer thats out for your game. And just a moment ago the one thats on steam.

The trailers themself really dont sell your game well. They arent bad, they just feel like "Lots of flashy lights and action" over really telling people what the game is about. Which is what trailers are there for. They are made to hook people and get them interested in your game.

The trailers in turn mostly feel like they are made for an anime tie-in where people already know the characters. Which wouldnt be bad if it wasnt for the fact that the game clearly got no anime to speak of.

Would love to see a more story/game focused trailer over what genuinely just feels like a mish-mash of scenes with no context. You may not have more right now, which is fair. But still. Like Im curious about the game. But Im curious cause the trailers dont tell me anything other than "This is how you can expect the game to look like as you play" with no further context accompanied by music.

If you dont have a better trailer than this in the future, it could actually hurt your sales which would be sad since I can see there is a lot of passion put into the project :/

The game is still very early in development. The trailers are mostly prototype footage, we obviously want to make a more cinematic trailer near the release, don't worry :)

Initially, we only intended for those trailers to be placeholders (really) on Steam while we worked more on the game itself, but it really got out of control (in a good way) and suddenly a bunch of events wanted to feature them. We literally came up with them in less than a day, since it's just non-edited cuts of game footage.

Initially we were a bit unsure if it wasnt too early to show the game, but we risked it anyway.

And in the end, it completely surpassed our expectations. We smashed the 100k wishlists quickly after releasing the trailers, and we weren't expecting even 10k! So that's a huge win already.

We're happy both the public and media seems to have enjoyed the trailers, even if they show a very early version of the game.

Once we get a (possible) publisher, have more cutscenes, voice acting, more areas to show, we'll definetively make a proper trailer. Might take a while, but there's a lot of surprises we're keeping for the next one :)

Thank you for your feedback!
