How to build realistic water dips

I’m struggling to make pools in my enclosure when I use add water tool there is a huge drop to water is there anyway to make it more natural transition like you get on seal map with oils spill

I usually use the water tool and the "make terrain round"-tool to smoothen the transition. It should work ok if you use it in a way that you click inside the water and not outside. That usually fills the water with land.
