Hi guys,

Battle Academy is design from the ground up to be a modders paradise. The game model and combat is entirely scripted and allows very powerful modding. Modders have created new units, modded graphics, new scenarios, new campaigns, complete new game engines and new features for the existing game. There are hundreds of hours of great free stuff.

Click on the user content buttons at the top of the menu in game for the ones we have officially added but there are many more you can download from the forum links manually.

I've been having problems uploading new campaigns from the website to download in-game. Most recently I've tried downloading a custom campaign and was met with me computer freezing for a full 24 hours. Is there something I am doing wrong? I'd like to know because this is genuinely something that should happen like this...

It sounds like a firewall issue potentially. Most of the downloads are very small and should happen almost immediately. Note that if you are using .LST links it may be possible that the links are dead (unlike the missions listed ingame) - try pasting a link into a browser and seeing what you get (you should get a simple text file for an .LST link). Zips and other compressed files should be downloaded via browser and installed manually.

Well, I pasted the .LST link and got a wall of gibberish text in return. I'm not entirely sure as to what I'm doing honestly. I'm trying to understand the instructions, but I don't think I'm doing it right...if that makes any sense. And I just tried it about five minutes ago and ended up with the same result.

In case you ask, the campaign I'm trying to download is dkdom's Normandy Anglo-Canadian campaign.

Don't take this the wrong way, but would it be a bit too much for me to ask for a step-by-step process of what I should do and in which order I should do it? I may be savvy with computer games, but I'm not exactly the brightest tool in the shed when it comes stuff like this...

Boi do I feel stupid. Turns out I was pasting the URL# link the whole time. But when I just copy-and-pasted the link that was in the forum the campaign was automatically downloaded. Sorry for the commotion.

is there a way to actually add ambient sounds? i find the lack of them to be terrible so i made a batch file to automatically run an ambient battlefield sound in the background when i launch the game

I can't think of a simple way other than to replace the music track in battle with something made up of ambient effects perhaps.

Anyone know how to get and install the two "British in Normandy" scenarios that were floating around earlier? I had them for a couple years but lost them when I had to reinstall the game on a new computer.

The way that I downloaded them a few years ago doesn't seem to work anymore. Are they still available for download?

They're by far my favorite scenarios, and massive campaigns.
