Harvester

Games related to Harvester?
I just finished Harvester for the first time and it was a fun experience. I dont see too much replay value but want to play something similar. I pretty much just wana know if there are any games like this or if there are any games i should play since i enjoyed this one.
Thanks.

Thanks. I've had I have no mouth on my wishlist for a while, but now itll probably come off of that and go into my library lol. I'll check the others out.

Dark Seed 1 is super hard, Dark Seed 2 is absolutely terrible.

If you liked the humor you might like KGB, but it's also a very hard game.

Any leads on where to download the games that arent on steam?

Phantasmagoria 1 & 2 are most often compared to Harvester. 7th Guest and 11th hour are FMV horror games aswell. I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream is a dark horror classic from the same era. Some of these games are not on Steam but they should be available on GOG.gom.

I second the Sanitarium suggestion!

Dark Seed 2 is the most directly comparable but it's a lot less self-aware.

I guess there's Deadly Premonition for the "explore and investigate the weird town" feel, albeit done with much more modern (yet still charmingly imperfect) technology.

Harvester's pretty unique. There are other super violent adventure games and atmospheric mystery adventure games but nothing really comes close to Harvester's particular flavor.

Not a horror game but if you want a point&click with a quirky sense of humor, good atmosphere and interesting locations check out Zork Grand Inquisitor. Probably my favorite of the genre.

I agree!

Btw I bought Sanitarium and I wish I hadn't :( I can't understand why people think it's so good.

My all time favourite adventure is gabriel knight, but it isnt really comperable to harvester because not much gore and no fighting (there is a nice remake of it too). Really wished there would be a gog version of dark seed because i was missing this game as a child:)
Another nice adventure is noctropolis, diffrent scenario but very nice game.

yeah i definatly recommend the phantasmagoria games. 11th hour was also good and had 3 endings. Shivers was also good but I have no idea if it plays on modern machines
