I also bought 7th Guest on the christmas sale because it seemd neat but I can't really reccomend it
If you liked the humor you might like KGB, but it's also a very hard game.
I guess there's Deadly Premonition for the "explore and investigate the weird town" feel, albeit done with much more modern (yet still charmingly imperfect) technology.
Harvester's pretty unique. There are other super violent adventure games and atmospheric mystery adventure games but nothing really comes close to Harvester's particular flavor.
Btw I bought Sanitarium and I wish I hadn't :( I can't understand why people think it's so good.
Another nice adventure is noctropolis, diffrent scenario but very nice game.
