Cut scenes skipping

Anyone else having trouble with cut scenes that show one frame and then skip entirely. As i am reaching the end of the game it is getting much worse. I have no real experience with DosBox so I'm not sure if there are config settings I can mess with.

cycles=max limit 33400 doesn't seem to have any effect for me.

I got it down to 28.000 and it worked fine!
Save just before a cutscene that skips, and try different numbers until you get one that works!

I fixed exe file and no cutscene skip, but only for russian version )

where do i put these files exactly??

for steam version unpack harvest.zip and copy 2 files (dos4gw.exe, harvest.exe) to
e:\steam\SteamApps\common\Harvester\HARVEST\
and replace existing files

Didn't work for me. On the Steam version you can only replace harvest.exe-file because dos4gv.exe-file doesn't exist.

I just wanted to let anyone having the same problem with the steam version know know that this patch does work. Be sure to paste in both files because the modified exe requires the dos4gw.exe file to run even if there is't already one in the game folder. Also if you messed around in the config files at all make sure you are not set to opengl at all because the game stutters badly with his fix, overlay and ddraw work just fine. Also Jack7277 if your still subscribed to this thread, out of curiosity what did you do to the exe to fix it.

The game remembers the LMB or right mouse button click when you answer the dialogue and this click in buffer skips the video, so I disabled reaction to mouse, only to ESC button in videos.

there were 3 cheks of interruption and then skipping video.

With this patch you can skip videos only by ESC button.

The game is awesome, me with friends did full russian translation and unique subtittle system and video skip patch. I made full walkthrough on my youtube channel.
I remember the game, I saw it on tv in 1996, and lol I did translation and got absolute understanding every phrase and EVEN got secret pictures of unused resources. This game blew my mind away, far far away, the best part for me is when Monroe tells about his lower torso and some Nazi.

That explains why videos that cue up mid conversation like the first convo with Stephanie always work. Honestly I wish I could say I have nostalgic memories of this game, but I was six when my brother bought it. This game gave me nightmares for weeks, the hardest scenes to get out of my head are the scene with the babies eyes and the chessmasters death. Course adult me had a great time with this game and I can really dig its statement on societies hypocritical obssesion with sex & violence, also the already bad effects are now dated far and beyond the point of absurdity. But child me HATED this game, course I did sit there and play the entire game with him so I obviously wasn't the smartest child either.

Place the harvester and dos4gw.exe files in the HARVESTER folder of your game directory. Then start the game and choose to run it in dosbox daum mode. Its already setup to run in direct 3d and plays the game almost flawlessly.
