Small talk minigame? Please help...

Ok, so I just reinstalled the game after patch 1.18 and I was wondering, how do I start the small talk minigame? I don't have a dialogue option for it like I see in some videos, and I've tried pressing every button on my keyboard.

Someone please help?

you cant small talk everyone, only the people that have a small speech bubble with three dots near thier name (when mouse is over them). if you stand around in a place with a few npcs for a little while eventually one will say something either about; Highways, some say "how do they get away with this", some talk about the slimey lizards, there are a few more... basicaly wait for someone to talk.

There is one way and only one. You walk around untill someone says something out loud, like "AI are blablablabla" or "Xenon tech in plutarch hands? blabla" Then you got a small window to go talk to them, while they got a speach bubble over them. Then you get the option to "small talk"

Left Mouse button is used to interact on stations, look at a person and click on them, NPCs with the smalltalk minigame are usually making some comment or another about AGI or whatnot and have a little speech bubble next to their head. Once you start talking to the right person you'll get the option to "smalltalk" on the conversation wheel at the bottom of the screen.

Sounds... weird. Considering how many stations I've been at I've never seen this occuring.

It's been pretty random for me so far and not "won" a single one yet either...
