Ship jumping.
Maybe someone has figured this one out. I have completed the Campaign mode and retained the Taranis the entire time - leaving it in Discreet Reek (or something like that). I just flew out to it, dropped an Engineer on it and added it to my squad. I sat in that sector for about 45 minutes waiting for my Rohanas to arrive since it was in my squad and is supposed to follow me. About this time, I got frustrated and thought..."Maybe that huge platform that Plutarch set at the jump gate is disrupting my ships ability to follow me." So I travelled to the Freighter in Devries, and waited for the Taranis to arrive. An hour passed and the Taranis is just on the other side of the jump game between Albion and Devries, but will not jump - it has PLENTY of E-cells (12k or so last time I checked). So I have now determined that none of my ships will cross the Devries/Albion border - either way - no matter how long I wait.

Anyone have a 'fix' for this?

I haven't been able to get that far, it's only just now been stable enough for me without me tearing my hair out, but I've heard around people having problems with ships going from Albion to Devries. However, ships in X-Rebirth now need Fuel Cells to jump, not Energy Cells as in the previous games.

I broke down and 'cheated' by installing the mod to allow ships to jump without the need of fuel cells. Still won't work.

well i have a similar problem with a ship i built. i docked on it and the captain of the ship was just chillin in the hanger bay. i dont know how to fix it, but it may be a glitch. i have no suggestions other than to wait for a patch or try starting a new game. sorry.

Still trying to build the station atm.

I have 10+ cap ships in the DV galaxy. All brought through the gate and some without E Cells.

Sometimes the ships stall - for no good reason I can think of. Keep going back into the same zone so your message gets repeated to following ships. Eventually it will work.

As far as I understand all ships have to move through that Galaxy gate and cant jump directly ???

Biggest problem for me has been the enemy stations in the flight path killing anything they can - combine that with the sluggish movement system...

well. i fixed that manually. i opened the save file in Notepad ++ and changed the Plutarch's opinion of me to .5 so now when i look at them they say +26 and they are allies. (i was getting annoyed of getting attacked, retaliating, them calling the police, then me having to kill the police)

Secondly, i also got the unlimited jump fuel mod, so now ships jump like they should. as i've noticed. ships jump in between sectors then fly to the zone using thrusters. so if youre 4 sectors away, it needs to make 4 jumps. or it will fly all the way there using thrusters if there is no fuel.

I just recently had to do edit the damn save file as well - finally got a Medium Class transport and it was insta dying. Solved by a quick -ve to +ve - and then back again.

I'm so F***ing fed up with playing a bit, editing the save file, playing a bit more, not working, checking the save file for differences between when it worked and when it didnt.

I haven't installed any mods yet. But TBH I want a refund.

do you have a construction drone in the rahana?, that aswell as engineer needed to get engines, turrets/shields fixed, used this way to get the prisoner ship after all jumped out, get mb 2 construction drones and add ship to squad, it will go to you when it can.

i haven't managed to get my ships from albion to devries yet I tried building one in devries and moving it to albion but i made it to the other end of albion checking on it ocasionally and it eventually got eaten by reivers just as I got back to save it :( so far I don't think it is possible to get ships (except construction) to move through jg's this was all in freeplay btw plutarch's cool with me so is Roc

another trick is to get it to leave squad, go to where you want it to be then re add it to squad, ship jumps to location for me, if it is low in cells to jump then you can click on the image of the pilot then tell him to get the cells to jump.

If you are to change the opinion of a faction you have to go to the faction you want to change and alter the "Player" relation (player is you) then go you the Player faction and alter the faction so the numbers are the same.

So same is true with money, if you want to add money, search the whole document for the same exact number that you have money, and alter them all to be the same, (last time i did this there were 24 results and i had to change them all)
