To all X fans please review Rebirth on Metacritic

I have already posted mine, the reason I ask is because loads of people are scoring the game 10/10 and saying stuff like " I really love this game so far ( 2+ hours in ) "
I pre-ordered mine off Steam and now I am left with a broken game, with nothing even close to the X series unique gameplay which I will not or even expect to play in the next six months, probably never . I think it is my duty to warn others and Metacritic is the best way, it also shows a Metacritic score next to games on the store .

I wont lie , I hate the game and think its that messed up it cannot be fixed, unless they ditch this idea of controlling the hole game with a controller . Imagine trying to micro manage an empire, press 5-3-4-5--1-4-5-6-1-9 oops I forget to do something ............... wait a second 5-3-4-5--1-4-5-6-1-9 over and over again .

SOME MORONS THINK I AM TRYING TO RIG THE REVIEW, EVEN THOUGH I NEVER ASKED ANYONE TO GIVE A PARTICULAR SCORE, THIS THREAD IS ABOUT ACTUAL X FANS REVIEWING THE GAME, NOT THE A-HOLES JUST SCORING 10/10 - NOBODY IN THEIR RIGHT MIND COULD SCORE THIS 10/10, YOU COULD ARGUE THE OTHER END OF THE EXTREME THOUGH

No one actually uses user ratings on Metacritic to decide their purchases. Its just where people go to justify the opinion they already had about a game.

Hence why everyone either rates games zero or ten. Can't take those seriously.

The story / campaign is not what X is about and is always 'meh'. Try sandbox mode. That's the real deal.

Then why put a campaign in at all? I want a good story as well as sandbox. A good story motivates me to push out into the universe and discover more. I might as well play EVE if the story side is not interesting.

I want to play this game, but the fps is terrible. Sad thing is, my system exceeds the recommended specs.

who wanted x3.tc with new grafics - wait at least 6 more months(mods, updates....)
those who want freelancer 2 - you can try it(no idea thou how optimized for your hardware it's gonna be)

atlon x2 250 3,0ghz
4 gig ram
radeon 6750 1 gig - exept for dusty places and really much action(or inside of station) works fine(not much worse then x3 to be honest)

This is a very poor release for such an anticipated game. Its not quite as as bad as Sword of the Stars, or Paradox, but close. Primarily because it doesn't work well. I'll come back in a month and see if they've patched it up. I was unable to get by the energy cell mission. Accessing certain screens (like trading) did not to seem to work. The game crashed 4 times, about, every 30 minutes or so. I would give it a 3 for not working, not having clear processes and menus and -1 point just for the ugliest characters in a game. The space graphics are good and it has potential, but station graphics and character graphics seem dated. Too many bugs now. Reading the developers tech issues list, and the list of work arounds for everything, it reads like a beta. When people start saying things like make sure you clear out your config file, its a beta. I support these types of games too, so I'm disappointed and hope they fix things.

It's funny how there are some few people rating this a 10/10. Those must be either delusional, nuts or bought.
This game, after ROME2, is the second big disappointment to me this year.

And when CA realized how royally they had f***** up, they tried to appease their fans, by giving them a free DLC.

Waste of time, no one rates fairly. It's either 1s or 10s, there is almost never any inbetween with the masses. Participating in it makes you just as bad (whether you rate it a 1 or a 10).

Still, this gives you an exact picture about how many people are actually enjoying this game, and how many people dont, doesnt it?

Fact of the matter is that the user scores and critic scores are rarely all that far apart, and, in most people's opinion, also rarely far from the fair score for the game. Sure, everyone has a game or two that they're in the minority on, and feel strongly that MC has it all wrong--that's life, not everyone agrees on everything. But to say the scores are meaningless is ridiculous.

Funny how you mention Rome2, I noticed on metacritic earlier that the same people who gave XR a 10/10 also gave Rome2 a 10/10....coincidence? Smells dodgy to me.

People say Metacritic is good or bad, but it's just a listing of reviews. It's like Wikipedia. You're supposed to go read the source links.
