How the hell do I dock?

I don't know if I'm a complete moron, but I just can't figure out how to dock. Am I supposed to be prompted with something when I get near the station? It's the very first place you are told to go dock at. Some sort of mining colony.

When you get close enough to the Wrench icon (that's the dock) you bring up a menu and the Dock option is available. I don't know the keyboard command to bring up the menu, but on my xbox controller you hold "A" to bring up the radial menu, then push the stick to the menu option you want and release the "A" button.

When you get to under 1km from a docking icon (wine glass, spanner etc), you can double click it. You will then have the option to dock.

You double click on circle and dock.

Trying to help here, seems many do not have ability to use the mouse to double click, so once the docking bay is selected (point yer ship in it's direction and it will select it) use the F key to have the Dock Menu appear. Then use your joystick (if u use one) and move it around, you should see the docking menu highlight and it will allow u to dock finaly !

This is a joke wtf.

Don't take this the wrong way, because I swear I'm being helpful as I had a similar problem but with ships - have a look in the manual and there are several icons that are listed which indicate docking points for different stations - keep an eye out for them and approach until you are something like 200 to 100 metres away, then double click on it and you get an option to dock (which you need to click on again).
