Exactly. "Lag" is perfectly applicable to framerates, as in, the rendered frames are lagging behind the actions performed.
OP, if you know nothing about computers or English language beyond online shooters and MMOs, better keep that unfortunate lack of understanding to yourself and not add to the grief already pervading this forum.
Yes, "lag" means to fall behind and is kinda applicable to framerate drops. But in regards to video games, it is a technical term with a specific meaning. If you want to start splitting hairs, "lag" means to fall behind, meaning that there is some goal ahead of you that you're failing to keep up with. With regards to online lag, you have fallen behind the rest of the server. This breaks down with framerate issues because you aren't falling behind any kind of goal--you're just going really slow.
Don't worry, Buxaroo. You're not alone.
We get it, you don't like people using the term lag! Well, guess what, using CAPS to get your point across, and repeating the same point over and over again, amounts to the same kind of annoyance.
The irony. Wow, just wow.
Also, where is all this emotion coming from? How can this be so important to you personally? Pretty amazing all around.
Is it more or less confused than an "average or high IQ confusion"?
In my RL experience, intelligence is no guarantee of technical knowledge. =)
I have this fit when i'm driving to work sometimes....damn sheep...MOVE PEOPLE.....it's not rocket science to be able to drive in a straight line on a 4 lane highway for 15 miles....
