I have all the X games on steam and original CDs all play fine with Joystick so what has happened to X Rebirth.!!! The Joystick movement is terrible is there going to be a fix for this, I hope so cause it seems a nice game.

I play X-Rebirth with a joystick, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. The default setup is messed up, enter what you want in the Controls setup. Also set Gamepad Mode to "Gamepad only", or it will mess with you.

I set my Deadband down to 5%, but I got a new joystick. If you have an old one set it higher. I think it was default of 20%, a bit too high.

They have fixed most of the bugs, but not all. Also, half of what people are reporting are things left over from earlier versions, in their games. If you are starting a new game you should not have those problems.

I am having fun with it. But don't expect it to be easy, after all it is an X-Universe game... 8-)

Don't listen to the morons.

It works just fine with joysticks. I use a Saitek X52 pro and I have friends who use everything from Logitechs to Thrustmasters.

lol I have x52 but it doesn't response instantly. To move the ship I have to move the joystick all the way to the left/right/up/down etc and therefore makes combat impossible and yet in all the other X games the joystick responses instantly.

That's odd. Mine didn't require any tweaking. Do you have any profiles loaded/activated in the Saitek program? Any deadzones set in the Saitek control panel?

I use the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro for years now, and it works flawless with X Rebirth.

You only have to make sure it is the main controller, if you have also attached an Xbox controller to your computer (like I have - I use it for games like Dark Souls). If you do not do that, it wont work.

You also have to configure the analogue (do not use digital) steering (X, Y, and Z axes), and map the buttons for shooting etc. It takes me about 3 minutes to do that, and I only have to do it once. Do not forget to switch off auto-level, because it wrecks your roll steering...

You can play around with the dead zone, but in my case it was not needed.

yeahhhhhhhhhh reset the analogue responds fine but had to use digital for roll thanks for that will get into the game now :) thanks to all for replies

At me logitech G940.
Worked well, but not long I rejoiced.
After a penultimate patch game has ceased to be started in general. Last patch too has not solved this problem.
If to disconnect Joystic game is started. At included Joystic - takes off without having time to give out an error.
The request to help, what to me to do?

Maybe your joystick is set with button that is stuck on? In joystick configuration, turn off all joystick buttons, except X - Y movement. See if that helps? 8-)

Has not helped!
It is visible developers again seriously again have altered with game controllers.
Whether I do not know they will correct again this bug as earlier, or will leave as is.
